Despite two attempts on my life via my son’s preschool, October was still a productive month.

Even with the downtime that some fine over-the-counter medicine brings on, I’m looking at around 70 shiny new blasts adding to my bottom line.

I ran right through a long time goal, and set a few new ones.

And I saw my most profitable month with IM come to a close. My multiple is getting awfully small!

Look out November. ;)

Sheesh, so this is what preschool is all about: getting your parents sick, over and over again.

While Toby can apparently beat off his microbial attackers with relative ease, Dad is getting his ass handed to him.

Again.

It may slow me in my progress towards my latest goal temporarily. But for now, well, I think it’s time to get a little sleep!

Thoughts on Turning Thirty-Eight

Random Thoughts

Saturday the 18th pushed me into a new year, and you know what? I still don’t feel old. Unless I admit I’m 38 out loud to someone, which somehow sound old.

Old just keeps moving further into the future the closer you get to it… ;)

Grand Discoveries?

So, how about any grand discoveries upon turning this ripe old age? Hmmm…

  • More wisdom is learned from failure than success, so don’t be afraid to make more mistakes. Successes will come along for the ride.
  • Never forget what is most important. If you are not sure what that is, finding out is what is important.
  • The past is unchangeable. The future is not.
  • See the world through the eyes of a child. It is amazing what we take for granted.
  • A good book beats a great TV show. Every time.
  • Wasted money can be replaced. Wasted time cannot.
  • The trip is often more important than the destination.
